這幾年發現一個很有趣現象

現在許多家庭都會請外籍幫傭

而她們當工作時效已經到期的時候

除了大包小包帶著有價值的東西回家

有的時候會要求帶一些奇奇怪怪的東西

像我們家的之前請的印傭

他會收集我們不要用的紙袋及塑膠袋

當然這些袋子絕對是外表精美不然就印刷非常漂亮的

據他說

這些袋子

在她們當地的跳蚤市場

可以賣到很好價錢

 

另一個菲律賓的

就常常在推無法行走的父親出去蹓搭的時候

如同拾荒撿一堆莫名其妙的瓶瓶罐罐回來偷藏

等到我們發現陽台越來越多小箱子

打開後才發現竟然是他數個月下來在街上的戰利品

非常令人頭疼

 

不過上頭說的是我們家請過的外籍傭人狀況

這幾年也有許多打電話給我

詢問外籍傭人回家時候

要把狗貓帶回印尼、菲律賓、越南....

 

其中一個常光顧我醫院的一位印尼籍傭人

他要把那隻吞了兩次彈珠開了兩次刀的窮凶惡極吉娃娃帶回家裡

我好奇的問他你為什麼要把這支吉娃娃帶回去?他不是常咬妳嗎?

﹝是低啦.....可訴他粉可憐,他是別人養的,送給我老闆,可是他又咬我老闆,所以老闆不理他,給不買東西給他吃,最後都是我在照顧低啦.....]

我說帶他回印尼要花不少錢喔

結果這位印傭卻說   沒錢可以先跟朋友借,不然這隻狗留來一定會被丟掉很可憐的...

聽到這句話

我還覺得這些外籍幫傭對於寵物生命

比起有些人好太多了

Pet Regulation

 

To bring pets (dogs, monkeys, cats) into Indonesia, it is required to have entry permits issued by the Director of Animal Health, Directorate General of Animal Husbandry, Jakarta.

Procedure to apply for the entry permits:

 

Applications for permits to bring pets (dogs, monkeys, cats, and other such animals) into Indonesia should be submitted to the Director of Animal Health, Directorate General of Animal Husbandry, Jakarta at least one month prior to the time of arrival.

 

In the letter of application for entry permits, the following information about the animal should be included:

  • Name (of the pet)
  • Age
  • Color
  • Sex
  • Species
  • Special Mark(s)
  • Address in Indonesia

 

Before applying for entry permits to the Director of Animal Health, the owner of the responsible party in Indonesia should obtain a letter of recommendation from the Directorate General of Animal Husbandry - Provincial Office, in the province where the pet will be living.

 

Requirements:

The pet should have Health Certificates issued by a government or practiced veterinarian in the country of origin stating that the pet has already been examined and found to be healthy and that in the area where the pet resides did not exist any rabies case during the last 4 months.

 

The pet should have a Rabies Vaccination Certificate stating that the pet has been given a Rabies vaccine at sometime within the last 12 months before time of departure (except pets from any rabies-free area where rabies vaccination are not conducted).

 

 

 

Quarantine Procedure:

The Quarantine Office of the port of entry should be notified of the time and date of the animal's arrival so that inspection of the pet can be arranged upon arrival.

 

Owner/importer or appointed agent should be responsible for the pet upon arrival at the port of entry, and should finalize the arrangement by requesting an examination by a veterinarian at the Quarantine Office at the port of entry.

 

Documents should be submitted to the veterinarian at the office of quarantine at the port of entry, including:

  • Entry permit issued by the Director of Animal Health, Directorate General of Animal Husbandry (point 1);
  • Health Certificate and Rabies Vaccination Certificate from the veterinarian in the country of origin (point 3);
  • Letter of recommendation from the pilot or captain of the carriers stating that during the trip the pet has never been brought to land and that there is no indication of rabies case on the carriers.
  • Examination at the quarantine office:

1.       Should the pet be found healthy, being free from indication of rabies and the owner had obtained all documents needed and it comes from rabies-free area, the pets can be released immediately from the quarantine upon the veterinarian permission (quarantine permit);

2.       Should the pet be found healthy, being free from indication of rabies and it comes from rabies-free area but the documents needed are not completed, the quarantine veterinarian will allow the concerned party to complete the documents required for the issuance of the quarantine permit, in a given time. Meanwhile the pet will be held in quarantine.

3.       Should the pet be found healthy and free from indication of rabies but the documents needed are not completed on time, or it comes from a rabies infected area, the pet has be quarantined for the period of four months.

 

 

Other important items to be considered:

It is illegal to bring pets (dogs, monkeys, cats, and other such animals) into the following rabies-free areas and provinces: Madura, Bali, Nusa Tenggara Barat, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Maluku, Irian Jaya, Kalimantan Barat, all islands included in the Sumatran area.

 

Pets (dogs, monkeys, cats, and other such animal) can be brought into Indonesia through the following port of entries:

Seaports: Tanjungpriok, Cirebon, Semarang, Tanjungperak, Belawan Deli, Teluk Bayur, Ujung Pandang and Manado
Airports: Jakarta, Medan, Pakanbaru, Manado, Surabaya
